About Ochre and Ocre

I set up Ochre And Ocre  in 2007 to offer a range of eco chic, natural and Organic homewares that are as stylish as they are green. I have always had a passion for textile design and, being a country girl at heart (I grew up on a farm in rural Herefordshire), I have a real desire to preserve the environment around us.  My vision for Ochre and Ocre was simple – to operate as an eco-friendly company without compromising on design, quality or performance. I am now based in the beautiful Malvern Hills and the lovely surroundings and natural colours have had a big influence on the ranges.

I am very proud of the fact that all of our ranges are designed in Britain.  All of our textile ranges are manufactured within Europe and our Melamine placemats and coasters are all made in Britain.  Our Bone china mugs are decorated in Stoke on Trent. I make the Lavender hearts myself, and spend many an evening in front of the tv stitching away!

Ochre and Ocre is a small company with big ambitions, and we have been growing steadily in a difficult economic climate. We work really hard to deliver the best possible products and a very personal customer service we can. Our products are available online as well as in some lovely independent retailers, posh farm shops, and stylish Department stores across the UK as well as Europe.

In this blog I wanted to share some of the crafty projects that I have done for our monthly newsletter, as well as some fun bakes and other creative bits I get up to as we renovate our house as well. As a working mother to an energetic toddler nothing will be too complicated, there isn’t enough time!

As a small business I also meet lots of other lovely companies at fairs and shows and some of these lovely peeps will also be popping up occasionally with their own crafty bits and bobs.
